本次翻譯實踐的源文本《YM氣田項目說明書》是中國某石油公司參與的土庫曼斯坦YM氣田項目建設說明書,該公司委托成都市思譯翻譯有限公司將該說明書翻譯為英文,以提交給業主。
說明書共11章,約42000字,包含表格和公式,涵蓋項目規劃、設計、執行等各個環節,包括設計依據、范圍、原則、自然條件、資源開發方案、集輸工藝、技術指標等內容,同時涉及節能節水、環境保護、勞動衛生安全等重要議題,并對組織機構、定員、問題及建議進行了分析,具有一定的專業性。

1.避免逐字逐句的翻譯,特別是一些中文里的副詞,可以在譯文中省略。
2.避免Chinglish,在翻譯中用更地道符合譯入語的表達,如例2。
3.關于翻譯技巧“inversion”的使用,譯者需判斷句子的表達重點,再進行語序上的調整。
4.避免過度意譯:雖然意譯在某些情況下是必要的,但譯者應注意不要過度偏離原文的意思。過度意譯可能導致原文信息的丟失或扭曲,尤其是在翻譯技術性、法律性或學術性文本時,準確性尤為重要。
