匯報題目:《深埋藏灘相白云巖儲層形成機理——以川中地區下寒武統龍王廟組為例》(前言、第一二章)漢英翻譯實踐報告

內容簡介:
翻譯材料選自楊雪飛地質學專著《深埋藏灘相白云巖儲層形成機理:以川中地區下寒武統龍王廟組為例》中的前言、第一章和第二章節的內容。本書對川中地區下寒武統龍王廟組開展了詳細的地層和沉積相研究,建立了研究區龍王廟組沉積相模式及灘體演化模式;根據儲集空間類型將龍王廟組儲層進行分類;以對儲層孔隙產生的影響不同將龍王廟組成巖作用劃分為建設性成巖作用以及破壞性成巖作用,并建立了成巖序列;對龍王廟組白云巖基巖和充填物白云石分別進行了成因分析,并探討了白云巖化作用對儲層孔隙形成的影響;對龍王廟組表生期巖溶作用的發育證據、特征、形成機理以及對儲層孔洞形成的影響進行了探討,并建立了研究區龍王廟組順層巖溶模式;探討了控制龍王廟組儲層發育的各種因素,總結了儲層形成機理并建立了儲層成因演化模式。
譯文修改:
例1:

研討反思: 楊雪飛老師解釋了原文中“為中等鹽度海水滲透回流白云巖化作用”是指白云巖的成因,是對前文的概括,可以不譯。另外,楊雪飛老師指出,通常在學術論文中,“回流”都譯為reflux,因此譯者對該術語的譯文做出了修改。
例2:
ST: 龍王廟組白云巖分布廣,厚度大,是儲層形成的物質基礎,通過研究白云巖化與孔隙成因的關系認為,開放體系下發生的等體積交代白云巖化雖未直接產生大量的孔隙,但形成的晶間隙改善了儲層的滲流性能,為后期酸性流體的溶蝕改造提供了優質的通道基礎。
TT1: The dolomite of Longwangmiao Formation is widely distributed with great thickness, providing material basis for reservoir formation. Studying the relationship between dolomitization and pore genesis, shows that although the equal-volume account dolomitization occurred in the open system did not directly produce a large number of pores, the crystal interstices formed improved the percolation performance of the reservoir and provided a high-quality channel basis for the dissolution modification of acidic fluids at the later stage.

研討反思: 此處的“providing”過于中式,因此將其改為“contributed to”。原文中的“通過”不需要在英文譯文中表現,因此將原文中的譯文刪除。最后一句中原本采用“and provided”來表達原文意思,但是這種譯法略顯冗長,因此此處將譯文處理成同位語,直接用逗號隔開,表達后文意思,讓譯文更加簡潔明了。同時,該句中的術語譯文也進行了修改,如:晶間隙——intercrystal pores,等體積交代白云巖化——equal-volume replacement dolomitization,溶蝕改造——dissolution。
例2:
ST: 早期大氣淡水淋濾作用產生的孔隙很難保存至今,但其存在為后期溶蝕流體提供了運移通道。
TT1: The pores produced by the early leaching of atmospheric fresh water are difficult to be preserved up to now, but their existence provides a migration channel for the later dissolution fluid.

研討反思: 此處的“produce”過于中式,并且不符合語境,因此將其改為“developed”。“their existence”改為“they”,讓譯文更加簡潔。因為溶蝕流體和運移通道都不止一個,因此將譯文調整為“migration channels for the dissolved fluids”。原文中的“后期”不用翻譯,因此刪除“later”。最后,對術語“溶蝕流體”的譯文進行調整,將其譯為“dissolved fluids”。
總結:老師和同學們就中英學術文本的差異進行了激烈討論,將譯文打磨得更加符合英語語言習慣,并且刪除了大量冗余內容。同時,本次研討會還針對科技翻譯長難句進行了梳理與句式調整,并對諸多術語譯文進行了修改,增強了譯文的專業性和可讀性。
