UK Will Promote Launch an App to Make Help Students Play Their Phones Less
英國將推出讓學生少玩手機的手機應用程序
An app that rewards students for staying away from their phones has been released in the UK. The app named Hold was developed by three students who met in Copenhagen Business School. They wanted to develop an app to help people get rid of resist the device distraction. This app is fairy popular with people in Scandinavia. And it has more than 120,000 users across Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
一款獎勵學生放下手機的應用程序在英國正式發布。這款名為“把持住”的app是由三名學生開發的，他們在哥本哈根商學院相遇，并希望可以開發一款可以幫助人們解決手機控的問題的軟件。該產品在斯堪的納維亞半島很受歡迎，在挪威、丹麥和瑞典有超過12萬名用戶。
Experts are worried increasingly concerned about the issue of smart phone addiction. According to a study made conducted by the University of Texas in 2017, just having leaving a smartphone within students’ visual field can reduce their productivity learning efficiency, lower their reaction rate and reduce slash their grades.
專家們越來越擔心手機成癮這一問題，根據2017年得克薩斯大學的一項研究顯示，僅僅是將一部智能手機放在學生視野內就能降低其效率、反應速度和成績。
A previous study made by the London School of Economics and Political Science showed that students who did not use phones at school got a 6.4% increase in test scores.
倫敦政治經濟學院之前做的一個研究表明，在學校不使用手機的學生，他們的卷面分數會有6.4%的提升。
The app will initially be promoted to in 170 universities around in UK. It can be used by both Android and IOS system, and it is free to download. Students, who get away from their phones for 20 minutes from 7:00 to 23:00 every day, will accumulate 10 points. These points can be exchanged for goods and services such as Coffee Nero, Vue cinemas and Amazon within the app’s marketplace
該app將首先在英國的170個大學發布推廣，可以在安卓和IOS系統上使用，而且是免費下載的。在一周每天的7:00-23:00，學生只要每遠離手機20分鐘就會積累10個積分。這些積分可以在app的商城中兌換包括尼路咖啡、Vue影院以及亞馬遜等品牌的禮品和服務。

The CEOs Of Apple and Google are Visiting China on at Weekend at the Moment of Trade War
中美貿易戰箭在弦上，蘋果、谷歌大老周末訪中國
At the moment of the trade war between China and America being strained nearly to the breaking point, the leaders of technology giants such as Apple and Google are going to visit China this weekend. Actually, the same purpose of their visit lies on one point of dealing, i.e., to do business with the world’s most populous country. However, at this delicate point when Trump announced to increase the revenue tariffs, the visit of these tech giants is bound to attract more focusing eyesight.
中美貿易戰箭在弦上的此刻,本周末,蘋果、谷歌等科技巨頭的領導人將來到中國。他們此次來華,都是為了一個共同的目的:和世界上人口最多的國家多做生意。然而在這個特朗普宣布增收關稅的微妙時間點,科技大老們造訪中國,勢必引來更多注目的眼光。
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai and IBM’s CEO Ginny Rometty will attend the China Summit Forum of Development Forum, which aims at helping western enterprises to maintain the relationship with China.
蘋果CEO蒂姆·庫克(Tim Cook)、谷歌CEO桑達爾·皮查伊(Sundar Pichai)以及IBM CEO羅睿蘭(Ginny Rometty)將會參加中國發展高層論壇,這個一年一度的論壇旨在幫助西方企業維護與中國的關系。
Foreign newspapers pointed out that the act of these enterprises has been working well for past years. But with the beginning of trade war between China and America, the world’s two largest economies, these enterprises will be on a tougher way to achieve this target. If it really comes to a trade war between China and America, American technology companies’ development in China will confront greater obstacles. This Wednesday, American president Trump declared to impose a tariff of 25% on 50 billion dollars products imported from China, including information and communication technology (ICT) products. What’s more, he also criticized China for stealing America’s intellectual property.
外媒指出,往年這些公司的這個舉措都收到了很好的效果。但是隨著中美世界兩大經濟體即將打響貿易大戰,這些企業要實現這個目標將會比以前更為艱難。如果中美之間真的爆發貿易大戰,美國科技企業在華發展將會面臨更大的障礙。本周三,美國總統特朗普宣布對從中國進口500億美元的商品征收25%的關稅,其中包括了信息和通信技術產品。特朗普還批評中國盜取了美國的知識產權。
Cook will be pointed as the foreign chairman of the forum. Among all the American tech enterprises, Apple places the most importance on gives the top priority to the Chinese market, because their devices like iPhone are extremely popular in China. Not long ago, Apple just immigrated moved the data of Chinese iCloud accounts into China. And in the forum of last year, IBM cooperated with Wanda Group in order to enlarge their portion of Chinese cloud service market. But subsequently, it is said that Wanda Group has ended the deal with IBM. As for Google, it which exited Chinese market in 2010, has been making great effort to return but in vain.

Remarkably, among all the American tech enterprises, Apple may be the most affected in the trade war. It’s estimated that about 15% of Apple’s business will be affected. Additionally, Steve Mollenkopf, CEO of Qualcomm, will attend this forum, but he canceled the speech in his former plan. China is the largest smartphone market in the world, and Qualcomm, the world’s largest chip manufacturer, is now waiting for China’s permission to their takeover for NXP Semiconductors.
值得一提的是,美國科技企業中,受到貿易大戰影響最大的公司可能會是蘋果,據估計,蘋果有大約15%的業務會受到影響。另外,高通公司CEO史蒂夫·莫倫科普夫(Steve Mollenkopf)也將會參加本次論壇,但是他取消了此前制定的演講計劃。中國是世界上最大的智能手機市場。高通這家世界上最大的芯片廠商目前正在等待中國批準他們對恩智浦的收購。

On March 20th, The Commuter, directed by Zomi Shira and starred by Hollywood famous movie stars Liam Nissen, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, held its grand premiere in Beijing. "God of Rescue" Liam Nissen showed up at this premiere and posed on the red carpet, and it was the first time that he had such a close interaction with Chinese audience, which made the media and guests at the scene ecstatic.

The Ban on Russia's Participation in the Olympic Games has been Lifted
俄羅斯奧運會禁令解除
The ban on Russia’s participation in the Olympic Games has been lifted. The organizers of the world's largest sporting event tried to bid a farewell to a scandal that exposed state-backed doping behavior over the years.
禁止俄羅斯參加奧運會的禁令已被解除。世界最大體育賽事的組織者試圖告別一樁揭露出多年來由國家支持的服用興奮劑行為的丑聞。
In response to Russian athletes being exposed to "systemic" use of stimulants, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) prohibited the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) from participating in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
針對俄羅斯運動員被曝“系統性”使用興奮劑，國際奧委會(IOC)禁止俄羅斯奧委會(ROC)參加2月在韓國平昌(Pyeongchang)舉行的冬季奧運會。
This decision means that no player is allowed to represent Russia. However, the ban quickly faded, and 168 Russian athletes who were considered to be "innocent" were allowed to participate in this Winter Olympics as neutrals. During the Pyeongchang Olympics, two Russian athletes failed to pass the doping test. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) continued to strongly criticize Russian sports authorities, saying that they had not been able to take the necessary measures to comply with international controls after “Russia has been shown to systematically manipulate the doping control process”.
