The first petroleum science and technology innovation and entrepreneurship competition of Chinese university students was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province from September 16thto September 17th. Students from SWPU won the grand prize, the highest one in this competition. Besides, they also won six gold awards, silver awards and bronze awards. SWPU was in the first place in terms of the total number of prize.
1115 teams from forty-two universities and scientific research institutions participated in the competition. Every team submitted one work. More than thirty experts in China selected 112 works by online evaluation.
Sponsor requested participants come up with scientific and effective optimization method and solution related to petroleum geology and exploration, oil-gas development engineering, drilling and completion engineering, offshore oil & gas engineering, oil & gas storage and transportation engineering, petroleum refining andpetroleum machinery.
