Many collage students’ private information has been exposed! Educational ministry made a response.
Recently, many universities have been found to have widespread disclosure of students’ private information. When publishing the candidates for scholarship and fellowship, besides the students’ names, birthday and numbers, the official also showed complete personal ID card number and account numbers of banking, etc.
Nowadays, some universities which exist the disclosure problems, have withdrawn the content about private inform and claimed to learn from this incident.
For this incident, the official national funding management of students’ sponsorship says the act is totally wrong, and gives the pre-warning to all scholar-funding workers, banning publishing the personal sensitive information. In addition, the relevant workers should obey the law on protection about private information, and are not allowed to present students’ ID numbers, address, phone numbers, birthday and other information in public.
Apart from that, the official stresses to respect and protect individual privacy. During the process of investigating student’s family economy, there is a prohibition to make student show how poor they are and jostle for the funding. And we are supposed to ask their consent when broadcasting the story about students and to give away funding in an anonymous way.

Forbidden City shares tech ideas with other museums
Experts from around the world shared their experiences on adapting new technologies to museum operations at a forum in the Palace Museum, or Forbidden City, in Beijing.
Managers from world renowned institutions such as the Louvre Museum in Paris, the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Tokyo National Museum, as well as domestic facilities like the Shanghai Museum and Nanjing Museum, said they took part to learn about "smarter" measures to protect cultural relics.
The two-day forum, presented by the Palace Museum and internet giant Tencent, began on Tuesday.
"New technology plays crucial roles in various aspects of museum operations today, ranging from visitor reception, restoration and display of cultural relics to academic research," said Shan Jixiang, the Palace Museum's director.
"A few years ago, when talking about new technology in museums, it usually only meant auxiliary channels," he said. "However, we are marching into an era when culture gets mixed with new technology on a comprehensive scale and deeper level."
For example, based on big data analysis, the museum closed its box office and began to sell all of its entry tickets through online platforms in October. The museum also digitally records its 1.86 million cultural relics in inventory, uploading the information online for the public to use.
At the forum, Shan introduced equipment used in the museum's new cultural relic restoration lab. The lab was visited by President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump during Trump's visit to the Palace Museum this month.
Shan said restoration work is closely mingled with scientific research. As many as 33 academic study projects are underway with the ongoing restoration of the Hall of Mental Cultivation in the museum, which was the home to the last eight emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
"Creativity lays the foundation of sustainable development of cultural heritage," Marielza Oliveira, director of the UNESCO office in Beijing, said at the forum.
"Many heritages in the world are in danger, but we can categorize and record the human knowledge in digital ways to promote mutual understanding among different cultures," she said.
In 2015, the Palace Museum and Tencent organized a competition to get young Chinese designers geared up to develop emojis, games and other culturally creative items inspired by elements within the Forbidden City.
Some winning items are shown at a digital exhibition in the museum. The exhibition will last until Dec 8. The exhibition also displays recent achievements made by overseas institutions with close ties to China, such as Google Arts and Culture and Japan-based digital art group team Lab.
For instance, Google Arts and Culture has cooperated with 28 Chinese museums to hold 500 virtual exhibitions online, showing more than 13,000 exhibits.

The Vampire of Lorania
On writing and publishing her first English magic fiction The Vampire of Lorania, a 15-year-old writer created a great sensation among social media users.
Yang Nianhui, a student from The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China in Beijing, spent 5 years to create this fiction.
In her 60,000-word novelette, she describes a magic kingdom named Lorania where all citizens are vampires, indicating a teenager’s interpretation to heroes. The book tells us that a hero is one who chooses to stay and fight for what is right even if he is afraid.”
According to Beijing Youth Daily, the publisher praised the imagination of the book and mentioned that it was their first time to publish a student’s literary work independently.
The Vampire of Lorania has spread out among Sina Microblog, getting many positive comments from netizens.
A netizen said,“As a 15-year-old girl, Yang Nianhui shows her talent in literature and English to public. It is hard to believe that such a young teenager could publish a fiction, let alone in a foreign language.”

About Children Education, What are we afraid of?
Another case of child abuse event in kindergarten is exposed, the bizarre plot lets the kid's mother keep repeating,“I would rather it is just ordinary child abuse, ordinary acupuncture and medicine, it is only because of the teacher’s fear for trouble, the principal’s unwillingness to pay. Otherwise... It's too unimaginable. ”
After school, the mothers got the children and asked them again and again, have you been beaten when you were in kindergarten? Have you been fed a pill by a teacher? Have you.......” After asking their own child, they turn to ask those schoolfellows, fortunately, all the answers were no. One mother laughed contentedly:"I want to go to the group to praise the teachers!" This is really a "distressed” laugh, on Thanksgiving Day, they thank the teachers for not abusing my little babies.
People's Daily pointed out,"it should be said that the vast majority of nurseries and kindergartens have a standard and scientific management, beneficial to the healthy growth of children, the parents can be at ease...... These recent events, though belonging to extreme cases, hit the most tightened nerves of children’s parents. It has been increasingly difficult to comfort people with extreme cases, because the thing is the confidence in those market-oriented kindergartens which is hard to establish over the past decade.
The fear of barbarism is the deepest fear. Professional ethics or market choice, or even not a moral ideal, but a practice, “l(fā)ove the other children as you love your own” is actually a presumption under the premise of modern civilization. A run of incidents of child abuse in kindergartens are actually a reminder that the illusion of moral enhancement is vulnerable to economic development. We are still suffering from the modern pains of social transformation. Instead of counseling young people not to lose their minds, it's better to think about why young people can't acquire "normal" life. Yes, it is just a normal life, let alone the pursuit of happiness.
