On March 25th, Clarivate (formerly known as Thomson Reuters) ESI database (Essential Science Indicators, ESI) released the latest data, showing that SWPU Geoscience discipline has entered the top 1%, marking SWPU Geoscience has ranked among international high-level disciplines.
This is the 4thSWPU high-level discipline ranking in the top 1% of ESI after Chemistry, Engineering and Materials Science. So far, the total number of SWPU disciplines ranks the 3rdamong the universities in Sichuan Province and the 1stamong universities affiliated to the province.
Thanks to the fact that Geoscience discipline ranked among the top 1% in the world, Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) has risen 52 places in the latest 2021 ESI Ranking of Chinese Mainland Universities, becoming one of the most improved universities in China.
In the ESI data statistical interval, the threshold value of SWPU Geoscience discipline is 6765, and the number of cited papers is 6883, and the 1% achievement degree is 101.74%. In the past decade, Southwest Petroleum University has published 1139 SCI papers in the field of Geoscience, including 5 most-cited ones.
