On April 10th, Chen Gaosong, a 1984 alumnus of Oilfield Chemistry major of our university, donated 20,000 masks to our university for epidemic prevention and control.
After graduation, Chen Gaosong has always been concerned about the development of his alma mater, especially the Nanchong campus. In 2018, Chen Gaosong donated 500,000 yuan to the school to set up the "Gaosong Scholarship", which specifically rewards students with excellent ethical and academic performances on Nanchong campus. 25 students are awarded each year, with each yearly funded 2,000 yuan, and the fund is planned to last for 10 years. In 2019, Chen Gaosong donated another 600,000 yuan to set up the "Gaosong Postgraduate Scholarship" to reward undergraduates from Nanchong campus who are admitted to master programs. The maximum reward is 5,000 yuan for each applicant, with a total of 60,000 yuan per year, and the fund is planned to last for 10 years. (Li Chenghan)
