SWPU Geothermal Energy Research Center was launched on December 21. Marked by this event, our university has entered a new field in new energy research.
Cao Yaofeng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Zhao Jinzhou, principal of SWPU, full-time researchers at the Geothermal Energy Research Center and more than 200 master and doctoral candidates attended the opening ceremony.
At the ceremony, principal Zhao congratulated on the establishment of the research center. He hoped that the center would aim at the world’s cutting-edge technologies and devote to researches on high-temperature geothermal resources in western China.
Academician Cao hoped the research center would make full use of the university’s advantages in disciplines, researches and talents in the energy field, focus on studies on the high-temperature geothermal energy resources in western China, and solve critical technical problems key to the development of high-depth, high-temperature geothermal energy.
