Wang Qingying, a young lecturer of SWPU, was recently formally informed by Australian Ministry of Education of being awarded the Endeavour Research Fellowship sponsored by the Australian government. She will go to theARC Nanocomm Hubof Monash University in Australia for 6 months, focusing on scientific researches.
Dr. Wang Qingying was engaged in postdoctoral researches in the team of professor J.L. Luo, member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and corrosion and electrochemistry specialist in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of Alberta. She has published 12 papers in journals indexed by SCI related to corrosion and protection, and surface engineering. Her current research interests include the preparation and properties of laser cladded coating, the corrosion mechanism of Ni-based coating in high temperature and pressure with H2S, and the development and application of anti-corrosion polymer-based composite coatings, etc.
In 2003, the Australian government set up the Endeavour Research Fellowship designated to fund international talents to come to Australia for researches, as well as local talents to study and carry out researches abroad. In 2018, this fellowship will support 230 international scholars for doing researches in Australia. 19 of them are Chinese.
