Xi’an University Has Established an AI School
西安電子科技大學成立人工智能學院
It was reported by CYOL, Xi’an， on November 6th that Xi'an University founded its AI school today. The school is in the university under the direct control of the Ministry of Education that aims to cultivate talents mastering AI, to innovate achievements of research and to foster a high-level training group.
中青在線西安11月6日電西安電子科技大學人工智能學院日前正式揭牌成立。該學院系教育部直屬高校首個致力于人工智能領域高端人才培養、創新成果研發和高層次團隊培育的實體性學院。
Nowadays, AI has been not only a hot spot of international academic field, but also a new focal spot of worldwide economy; an engine for the economic development and a fresh opportunity for the construction of our society. According to the statistical data, demand for technological AI talents has accounted for one-sixth among IT human resource. And by now, there has been an insufficiency of AI talents with an amount of over one million in China anually. Also, the amount of Chinese AI talents barely takes up 6% that of America.
當前，人工智能已成為國際學術的新熱點、世界經濟的新焦點、經濟發展的新引擎、社會建設的新機遇。據統計，人工智能科學技術人才的社會需求已經占據信息領域人才需求的1/6左右，目前我國每年人工智能人才缺口超過100萬人，而中國人工智能人才不足美國6%。
The secretary of the party committee and headmaster of the university claimed that,“The major of intelligent science and technology in Xi'an University is the only AI major all over the nation. It is not only a characteristic specialty but also one of the national level.” In the future ,the school will make efforts to establish a basement of cultivating AI talents; to innovate the research and development center; to create a high-level team; to bring its superiority into the play among nationwide universities based on the existing scientific research achievement and human resource. At the same time, this AI school will strive for the aim of being a pilot school of its kind and contribute its intelligence to the development of Chinese AI strategy.
“西安電子科技大學智能科學與技術專業是全國唯一的人工智能領域的特色專業，也是國家級特色專業。”西安電子科技大學黨委書記、校長鄭曉靜院士表示，未來，學院將依托現有學科科研基礎和人才資源儲備，著力打造人工智能領域高端人才培養基地、創新成果研發中心和高層次團隊培育平臺，在全國高校范圍內構筑先發優勢，積極爭取成為國家人工智能學院試點示范單位，實現引領發展，為國家人工智能戰略發展貢獻西電智慧。

Current English Study Situation of University Students
大學生目前的英語學習狀況
With the development of globalization, modernization and other mechanisms in the world, English is getting more and more indispensable, without which we can not communicate with others in many countries. There are about 2 billion people in the globe studying this beautiful language currently. English learning is increasingly cared about by the students , teachers and other personnel in the educational realm.
隨著全球化，現代化以及世界上其他機制的發展，英語變得更加重要，沒有它就不能和世界上哪個來自很多國家的人們交流?，F在全世界有大約二十億人學習這門美麗的語言。英語學習更多地被學生，老師以及教育界的其他人士所關注。
Nevertheless, how on earth is the condition of university students’ English study right now? Many people are arguing about it which fuels the controversy and criticism. CET (college English test) turns out to be a compulsory requirement for graduation, which seems to be very strict., but it is taken for granted by many people that this test is only for the purpose of examining the basic English ability of university students in China. Moreover, if a student with a relatively low English level can live much easier in the test oriented education system, he may get a much higher score than those with a better level, which shows unfairness. Some universities witness this situation and set the score of TOEFL or IELTS as their graduation requirements. TOEFL and IELTS can test one’s overall English skills basically, including reading, listening, speaking and writing, but there are lots of institutes in China which observe these tests and create a series of methods to deal with them.It can not be denied that this can be helpful. Nonetheless that makes the Chinese students depend on the strategic elements too much, leading to their English skills going down. When students ask their teachers how to enhance their English skills, all they can get are skills of coping with exams but not relatively practical things.
然而，大學生現在的英語學習情況到底是怎么樣的呢？許多人都在爭論此事，這也增加了問題的矛盾和批判。大學英語考試是畢業的畢業條件，好像很嚴格，但是很多人都認為這個英語考試也只是考學生的英語的基礎。另外，一個在應試教育里面能生存自如但是英語水平低一些的學生可能得到一個比英語更好地學生更高的分數，這非常不公平。一些大學看到了這種情況，把托?；蛘哐潘伎荚囋O置為他們的畢業要求。托福雅思根本上能夠測試學生們的全面的英語水平包括讀聽說寫，但是我國有很多機構研究這些考試，創造出一系列方法去對付這些考試。不可否認這非常管用。但是這讓同學們過度依賴于這些策略性的元素，導致英語技能下降。當學生問老師怎么提高自己的英語技能的時候，他們能夠得到了就是對付考試的方法而不是相對實用一些的東西。
English, as a language should act as a facility for people to communicate with others but not be test-oriented. So students should learn English more flexibly, being brave to speak up but not merely dealing with the questions on the paper.
英語，作為一個語言應當作為人們交流的工具而不是應試化。所以同學們應該靈活地學習英語，勇敢地說起來，不能只是與試卷上的試題打交道。

Yang Liwei was Awarded with the UNESCO Medal on Space Science
楊利偉榮獲聯合國教科文組織“空間科學獎章”
On Oct.27th, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has awarded the UNESCO Medal on Space Science to Yang Liwei and three other prominent international space practitioners during the first edition of the award ceremony.
10 月27日，在首屆聯合國教科文組織“空間科學獎”頒獎典禮上，聯合國教科文組織把獎章授予我國楊利偉和其他三位國際上杰出的太空工作者。
“I thank you all for your courage and commitment,” said Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, to the laureates. "And I end with an appeal, for you to continue on your scientific journey, and also to return to UNESCO as often as possible, to reach out to younger generations, to share UNESCO’s message to build peace in the minds of men and women."
聯合國教科文組織總干事伊琳娜.博科娃對獲獎者說道，“感謝你們的勇氣與奉獻。我最后有一個請求：希望你們在各自的科研道路上勇往直前，盡量常來聯合國教科文組織與年輕一代多接觸，并向世界人民傳遞聯合國教科文組織“構建和平”的理念?！?/span>
Unable to attend the ceremony himself, Yang Liwei was represented by Shen Yang, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the People’s Republic of China to UNESCO at the ceremony.
楊利偉因無法親赴頒獎儀式現場，便委托中國常駐聯合國教科文組織大使銜代表沈陽代表他領獎并致辭。
The UNESCO Medal on Space Science, established on June 29, 2017 is awarded by the UNESCO director-general to honor prominent scientists, public figures and organizations for their contributions to the development of space science in the spirit of UNESCO’s priorities.
聯合國教科文空間科學獎章于2017年6月29日建立。此獎章由聯合國教科文組織總干事授予對秉承聯合國教科文組織精神，并且對空間科學的發展作出重要貢獻的科學家，公眾人物和組織。

《In the name of people》has been charged of plagiarism，the author Zhou MeiSen responded：never compromise.
《人民的名義》被訴抄襲周梅森回應：絕不妥協
Reported by the China News Sevice at November 5th , the news which spread on the web reads, the author Liu SanTian charged Zhou MeiSen for《In the name of people》for plagiarizing his 《AnXiang》and asked Zhou MeiSen for 18 million as compensation,the author Zhou MeiSen said, “writing is my life,I will hold this argument until I get a legal explanation.No compromise will be made” in the telephone interview with journalists of China News Sevice.
中新社北京11月5日電 (記者高凱)針對日前此間網絡流傳的一則作者劉三田(筆名南嫫)起訴周梅森《人民的名義》涉嫌抄襲其作品《暗箱》，并且索賠1800萬元人民幣的新聞，知名作家周梅森5日接受中新社記者電話采訪表示，“創作是我的生命，對于此事我將在法律層面追究到底，絕不會有絲毫妥協?！?/span>
Liu SanTian’s lawyer Chen YouXi confirmed to the media that the plaintiff thought, “the 《In the name of people》script and TV series made in 2015 completely plagiarizes 《AnXiang》 published in June 2010.The two works are surprisingly similar in the overall structure and evolution of the context of the story.” Chen YouXi asked to forbid 《In the name of people》’s all play,copy,publish and internet broadcasting and demand Zhou MeiSen to repay his loss of 18 million.
劉三田的律師陳有西向媒體確認，原告方認為“2015年開始創作的《人民的名義》文字劇本和影視連續劇，完全模仿抄襲了原告2010年6月發表的《暗箱》，兩作品在總體結構和故事演進脈絡上，完全雷同模仿。”并要求停止《人民的名義》的一切播出、復制、發行、信息網絡傳播，索賠經濟損失1800萬元。
In the interview with reporters, Zhou MeiSen claimed that “My lawyer found the 《AnXiang》was published in January 2011 by Yunnan People's Publishing House.And the first printed books were 1000. I have never seen this book before.”
周梅森在接受本社記者電話采訪時表示，“我的律師查到她所說的《暗箱》是2011年1月由云南人民出版社出版的，首印只有1000冊，我從沒見到過這部作品。”
After this happened , Zhou MeiSen made a serious statement, saying, “Here I make a solemn statement to welcome the readers from all the world to review my novels, film and television works, and to report plagiarism to the local court. As long as any court made a plagiarism judge, I will not only accept my punishment but also give a reward of 10 thousand RMB to the person who reported.
此事發生以后，周梅森發出嚴正聲明，稱：“在此我嚴正聲明，歡迎全國和世界各地讀者一起審視我的小說和影視作品，向所在地法院舉報我的任何一部作品的‘抄襲’問題，只要中國境內、世界任何一個國家的任何一家法院做出‘抄襲’裁決，本人除接受法律處罰之外，另重獎舉報者人民幣十萬元?！?/span>

時間再少，也要讀書
Reading is not only to study a specific skill, but also to learn how to make the combination of words prettier.
讀書，不光是去學習一門特定的技能，也不只是為了學習怎樣讓文字的組合更優美。
In fact, compared with talking, reading is a much more advanced kind of communication.
讀書，其實是一種比對話更高級的交流方式。
Many successful people have shared the same experience that whoever you want to be, stay with the kind of people as long as possible.
很多成功人士都曾分享這樣一個經驗：如果你想成為怎樣的人，就盡量多和這樣的人待在一起。
If you want to be knowledgeable, then talk with knowledgeable people. If you want to be someone with good manner, then try to make friends with someone with good manner.
如果你想成為一個博學的人，就應該去和博學的人交流，如果你想成為一個有涵養的人，就盡力去交一些有涵養的朋友。
But unfortunately, outstanding people are always far away. If you are not good enough, there is a mere possibility to be acquainted with them.
但遺憾的是，優秀的人通常都很遙遠，如果你自己不夠優秀，那你幾乎不可能觸及他們。
And this is what reading is for. Books are the assemble of excellent souls. You can communicate with the great minds by reading.
這就是讀書的意義了，書是優秀靈魂的凝聚，通過讀書，你能和這些偉大的靈魂進行跨時空的交流。
Reading can also save you from the shackle of life, bringing you the possibility that you’ve never had before. For many people, it may be their only way to change their lives.
讀書能讓你跳出生活的桎梏，為你打開前所未有的可能。對于很多人來說，這可能是他們唯一能改變人生的手段。
No matter how busy you are, don’t forget to spare some time to read. If you don’t spend time on reading, you will eventually miss out the good things in your life.
不管你多么忙碌，都別忘了擠出時間來做這件事。如果你不花時間讀書，那你最終將沒有時間過你自己的生活。
