Motor neuron sufferer from Peking University——organ donation for scientific study
北大女生患漸凍癥留下遺愿捐獻(xiàn)器官
“After I pass away, I want to give up my head for medical study and hope motor neuron disease can be overcome soon so that those suffering from this disease can get rid of the pain.”
“我走之后，頭部可留給醫(yī)學(xué)做研究。希望醫(yī)學(xué)能早日攻克這個(gè)難題，讓那些因?yàn)?/span>‘漸凍癥’而飽受折磨的人，早日擺脫痛苦。”
The words above is an oral announcement of Lou Tao, a PhD candidate at Peking University. The 29-year-old girl from Enshi, Hubei province,was diagnosed with motor neuron disease in January, 2016.Since last year, this disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis has invaded her muscle and motor nerves, depriving her of the ability to go on autonomic activities. Now, she has to stay in bed as a result of losing control of her body.
這是北京大學(xué)歷史系2015級(jí)博士生婁滔的一份口述?，F(xiàn)年29歲的婁滔來(lái)自湖北恩施，2016年1月被查出患有運(yùn)動(dòng)神經(jīng)元病。一年多來(lái)，這種被稱為“漸凍癥”的疾病逐漸侵襲婁滔的肌肉和運(yùn)動(dòng)神經(jīng)，讓她喪失自主活動(dòng)的能力。如今的婁滔，每日躺在病床上，已經(jīng)失去了對(duì)自己身體的控制力。
In the first half of this year, Miss Lou asked a nurse for help to record her dying wish by dictating: donate all her organs, “I will donate every part of me to help other people’s lives”. Immediately the news spread, millions of netizens were moved. Lou’s mother Wang Yanmei（汪艷梅） told the journalist they had signed the human organ donation sheet on 9th , October, and the operation would be performed when their daughter’s physical indexes settle out. Additionally, Mrs. Wang（汪） said，“M y daughter set an example for me”, affected by her daughter, she decided to donate her organs in the future.
今年上半年，婁滔將護(hù)士叫到床前，以口述的形式記錄下遺愿：捐贈(zèng)人體器官，“凡是能救命的部分盡管用”。消息傳出，感動(dòng)萬(wàn)千網(wǎng)友。婁滔的母親汪艷梅告訴新京報(bào)記者，捐獻(xiàn)協(xié)議已經(jīng)于10月9日簽署，將在女兒身體各項(xiàng)指標(biāo)趨于穩(wěn)定后逐步實(shí)施。此外，汪艷梅稱，“女兒為我做了榜樣”，自己受婁滔影響，也決定將來(lái)捐出人體器官。
Seeing the photo taken in her college year, the long-hair girl Lou Tao was beautiful, vigorous and confident. Before she suffered the disease, the excellent girl lived a successful life. In 2007, the Tujia ethnic minority girl had an access to Beijing Normal University, taking up one-year prior course in the history department and taking up the undergraduate course later. During college years, she had kept being the top 3 in the department, and eventually was recommended for admission to world ancient history department of Beijing Normal University. And in the 3 years’ study for the master’s degree, she won the first scholarship as the first of world history major, and published a translated paper in a key academic journal. In April of 2015, she entered Peking University with the good grades, both the first of written examination and interview, pursuing her PhD degree on ancient Egypt history.
婁滔讀書時(shí)的照片上，這名長(zhǎng)發(fā)女孩長(zhǎng)相秀氣，眉宇間洋溢著青春與自信。在此之前，29歲的婁滔人生順?biāo)?，履歷堪稱優(yōu)秀。2007年，來(lái)自湖北恩施的土家族女生婁滔，考入北京師范大學(xué)歷史系預(yù)科，一年后進(jìn)入本科就讀。大學(xué)期間，婁滔的學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)始終排在全系前三名，并最終被保送北京師范大學(xué)歷史學(xué)院世界上古史專業(yè)讀研。碩士三年期間，婁滔以世界史專業(yè)第一名的成績(jī)，獲得一等獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，并在核心學(xué)術(shù)期刊上發(fā)表翻譯論文一篇。2015年4月，婁滔以筆試第一、面試第一名的成績(jī)考入北京大學(xué)歷史系，攻讀古埃及史專業(yè)博士學(xué)位。
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as motor neurone disease (MND), Charcotand Lou Gehrig's disease, is a kind of rare disease, and the cause is still not known. Its early symptom is mild and is easy to be mistaken as other diseases. ALS is characterized by stiff muscles, muscle twitching, and easy exhaustion, gradually worsening to muscles decreasing in size. This results in difficulty in speaking, swallowing, and eventually breathing. But the patients’ intelligence and feelings won’t be influenced, so they are also called “the soul imprisoned in the body”.
漸凍癥又稱運(yùn)動(dòng)神經(jīng)元病、夏科病、盧伽雷病，是罕見(jiàn)病的一種，病因至今不明。早期癥狀輕微，易與其他疾病混淆?；颊呖赡苤皇歉械接幸恍o(wú)力、肉跳、容易疲勞等癥狀，漸漸進(jìn)展為全身肌肉萎縮和吞咽困難。最后產(chǎn)生呼吸衰竭。患病者的身體肌肉萎縮，但智力和情感幾乎不受影響，被稱為“靈魂被囚禁在身體內(nèi)”。

One American college set up a degree for marijuana-planting, which becomes popular among students
美國(guó)一大學(xué)首設(shè)大麻種植學(xué)位 學(xué)生爭(zhēng)相選報(bào)
As British Daily Mail Online reported on October 10th , Northern Michigan University of the United States broke through the stereotypes to set up a four-years’ balcony project for marijuana-planting. The degree, which consists of chemistry, biology, botany, horticulture, marketing and finance, had 12 students in at the first semester. And more and more students choose it as weeks go by.
據(jù)英國(guó)《每日郵報(bào)》10月10日?qǐng)?bào)道，美國(guó)北密歇根大學(xué)突破陳規(guī)，開設(shè)了為期4年的大麻種植學(xué)位項(xiàng)目。該學(xué)位課程包括化學(xué)、生物學(xué)、植物學(xué)、園藝、市場(chǎng)營(yíng)銷以及金融，開設(shè)的第一個(gè)學(xué)期就招收了12名學(xué)生，且每周都有更多學(xué)生選修該學(xué)位。
It is known that some universities including Harvard University, The University of Denver, Vanderbilt University and The Ohio State University have offered courses linked with marijuana. However, Northern Michigan University is the first one to set up a degree for it. According to one of the sophomores in this department Alex Roach , students all consider this degree as a cool thing, but in fact ,the lesson is very rigorous and of great challenge.

As it is reported, Marijuana and herbal extracts along with natural products industry have become potential markets with the ongoing legalization of using medical plants nationwide. Hemp industry requires not only an amount of laboratories equipped with self-contained facilities but also lots of well-trained analysts. So in this regard, the professional education about marijuana-planting in undergraduate can be an almost perfect match for it.

Seat Selection is Now Available for Bullet Train Passengers Who Book Tickets Online
網(wǎng)購(gòu)動(dòng)車票即日起可自主選座
From now on, passengers can select seats when they book bullet train tickets online .
即日起，乘客在網(wǎng)上訂購(gòu)動(dòng)車票時(shí)可以自行選座。
The new service, via the official railway ticketing website or applications on mobile phone, will be particularly useful for passengers, who travel with their companions, to make sure that the group can sit together.
新服務(wù)可以通過(guò)官方鐵路購(gòu)票網(wǎng)站或者手機(jī)app來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn)，將對(duì)尤其是和小伙伴一齊出行的乘客來(lái)說(shuō)非常有用，這樣可以確保坐在一起。
China Railway, the country’s railway service operator, said that the aim of this move is to enhance users’ experience of booking tickets.

Sichuan Sauce Became The New Favorite of McDonald in America, and The Supplies in Many Branch Shops Are not Adequate to The Demand.
四川醬料成為美國(guó)麥當(dāng)勞新寵，多家店面供不應(yīng)求
As reported by BBC, on October 7th, McDonald in US resupplied the well-recieved Sichuan sauce, but it disappointed thousands of food aficionados because the demand is far beyond the supply. McDonald announce subsequently that, they will resupply this sauce in winter.
據(jù)BBC報(bào)道，美國(guó)麥當(dāng)勞10月7日重新供應(yīng)廣受歡迎的四川辣醬，可是由于供應(yīng)不足讓數(shù)千名美國(guó)吃貨失望而歸。麥當(dāng)勞隨后宣布，將在冬季再次供應(yīng)這款辣醬。
Previously the sauce was sold in 1998 as part of a promotion for Disney’s animated movie Mulan. However , the sauce had a large number of fans once again after the broadcast of season 3 of the Cartoon Network show Rick and Morty. They even signed a petition , asking for resupply of the sauce.
1998年，麥當(dāng)勞以前就賣過(guò)這種辣醬，當(dāng)時(shí)是為了推廣迪士尼動(dòng)畫電影《花木蘭》。但是流行動(dòng)畫片《瑞克和莫蒂》第三季在片中提到了這款蘸醬，片子播出后又涌現(xiàn)了一波粉絲。他們甚至簽署了請(qǐng)?jiān)笗?，要求麥?dāng)勞重新供應(yīng)這款辣醬。
In the cartoon, a mad scientist named Rick, expressed his passionate love to the sauce,talking to his grandson Morty: “I’m going out now,to find more Sichuan sauce launched by the movie Mulan, Morty, because this is all for Sichuan sauce, Morty.” “All I did is for Chicken McNuggets’sauce!”,he said.

After Rick and Morty fans were unable to get the sauce, “Give me the sauce!” became a popular rallying cry on social media.

McDonald explained on 8th , the supply of Sichuan sauce is quite limited, it’s hard to meet demand. In this declaration, McDonald also promised that, the Sichuan sauce will return in this winter,and will cover more places in this time, the period of supply will continue longer.

More and more Chinese students go to Africa to get a higher education
越來(lái)越多的中國(guó)學(xué)生前往非洲接受高等教育
Nowadays, we can see more and more African students in Chinese campuses. It is a signal of a deeper relationship between China and Africa, which is the same in Africa.
如今，在中國(guó)的大學(xué)校園里，我們可以看到越來(lái)越多的非洲學(xué)生，這是一種更深層次的中非關(guān)系信號(hào)，而同樣也在非洲存在著。
Most Chinese students choose to study in universities in South Sudan, Egypt, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia and South Africa.
大多數(shù)中國(guó)學(xué)生選擇在南蘇丹、埃及、肯尼亞、加納、埃塞俄比亞和南非的大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。
There are three types of Chinese students in Africa. One type is language students, whose major is local African languages. Another type is non-language students who major in law, economy, culture, education or agriculture. They study for six months or a year in Africa to learn more about local cultures. Both types of students above are supported by Chinese government.

And a third type has been growing up in recent years. Because more Chinese choose to develop their own career and life in Africa, some of their children will get higher education in Africa countries naturally.

Many Chinese people study the MBA program since they work in Chinese state-owned enterprises, and it may help the development of their career.
